Aja has been with Gold Star since 2000. She was originally
hired to work the front desk, but in the spring of 2001 she was pulled onto
the floor to help substitute a class, and she proved to be a natural and caring
teacher. Since this time she has received her U.S.A. Gymnastics Safety Certification,
C.P.R. and First Aid certification. She teaches Mini-Star and Recreational classes
and works at the front desk every afternoon. Her own talents are extensive as
she has been dancing since she was 3, and playing the clarinet for the past
11 years. She has an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor's in
Psychology with a minor in Social Sciences from San Jose State University. She
shares her time with us, while also volunteering for the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum
Disorder Task Force. Aja's musicality and love of movement can be seen in her
coaching as she has taken hula-hooping and freeze dancing to new heights, an
energy her students adore.
