Alyson began teaching at Gold Star in the spring of 2006,
but is no stranger to gymnastics. Alyson started in gymnastics when she was
three and rose to a dizzying height of Level 9 (just a few short steps before
the Olympic team), citing her favorite event as Beam – that 4 inches of
nail-biting intensity – calling it “easy”. For one year she
took a break from the Artistic gymnastics and trained at Gold Star as a Rhythmic
gymnast. We are overjoyed to have Alyson back with us on staff. She is by far
the most professionally focused of our young coaches, with her CPR and First
Aid Certifications; she is already training to be a judge and has her sites
on coaching team. She has quickly become an important asset to our camp program
and will continue coaching MiniStar and Recreational classes throughout the
year. Her pleasant demeanor coupled with her extraordinary knowledge of the
sport makes her an instant favorite of our budding gymnasts.
