Arla has been in the gym longer than she has been in school.
Starting at the age of five she quickly rose to become a competitive gymnast
and is currently still training. She has squeezed in coaching at Gold Star between
five days of practice for Level 10 (just one step to the Olympic level!!) In
2006 she was State Champion for Level 9 and went on to place 2nd in All-Around
at Regionals for California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada, qualifying to Western
Nationals and finishing in the top fifteen! She began training at Gold Star
in the summer and will take on her own classes in the fall of 2006. Her passion
for the sport and her overwhelming enthusiasm with the children has given her
enormous potential for becoming an extraordinary coach – although her
career as a gymnast seems far from over, we will welcome whatever time she has
to share with us!
