Chris (Daffron) began coaching in 1998 in Texas, and
came to Gold Star in 2004. Chris started teaching preschool through
compulsory levels for both boys and girls teams, plus cheer. When he
left Texas he was running a gym, not only coaching but billing, scheduling,
staffing, managing, even maintaining the facilities. He has his U.S.A.
Gymnastics Safety Certification, First Aid and CPR certifications. His
career before gymnastics is equally as impressive. Chris received his
Bachelors from Texas A & M in Kinesiology, and ran Track and Field
since he was young, ultimately competing in the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials
for the Steeple Chase. We hired Chris immediately onto our managerial
staff, and have found that his commitment to children, his passion for
teaching all levels of gymnastics, and his dynamic personality fit in
perfectly with our mission here at Gold Star. Chris has become one of
our most popular teachers because the children master new skills while
having a great time!
