Courtney coaches our Level 5-7 team, attending their competitions on the weekends, but by day she is a systems design engineer. She has been coaching since high school, working her way through Stanford by assisting the Stanford Team, and has been with Gold Star since 2000. She trained as a gymnast and competed through Level 9 (just two steps below the Olympic Level), then went on to study dance for six years. Courtney can still be seen demonstrating impressive gymnastics skills and stretching to inhuman lengths with our girls team. Her own training plus ten years of coaching has given her an undeniable expertise that clearly benefits her students. Courtney is also Safety Certified from U.S.A. Gymnastics. Her commitment and sheer enjoyment of the children keeps her coming in after a long day of Silicon Valley techies. We welcome her with open arms- for any amount of time she can give to our students. Gold Star is undeniably better with her here.
