Denise began as the mother of one of our gymnasts, moved to
being the mother of one of our coaches, and has risen to being a Gold Star coach
herself in the winter of 2006. Denise was hired to help with our birthday parties
and has proven to be one of our most conscientious and dedicated employees.
Her years as a stay-at-home mom have helped her to understand the importance
of these special events in a child’s life; her experience as a Lifeguard
give her that safety consciousness that is so imperative in our sport; and her
past profession as a Physical Education teacher gives her the expertise to instruct
children in movement. Denise is CPR trained and USAG Safety Certified. We feel
very lucky that among the other myriad of community commitments in Denise’s
life she finds time to share her optimism and her energy with Gold Star.
