Eddie has returned to us after a couple of years dancing and
training in New York City. He came to Gold Star in 2001, with two years of coaching
all levels from preschool through competitive teams and his U.S.A. Gymnastics
Safety Certification. For the next four years Eddie constructed our boys team,
lead our adult classes, taught our MiniStars, coached our recreational students,
and trained our compulsory level artistic gymnasts. He has an extensive dance
background; has been dancing jazz, tap and ballet since 1996, and studies dance
and theatrical arts at Ohlone College. Since 1998 he has been a member of a
semi-professional dance company based in Los Gatos, and teaches dance at a local
studio. Eddie’s dance expertise has been very helpful to our girls and
boys teams, as he teaches them the grace and strength necessary to perform their
routines. Eddie has been described by our staff as the “king of drills”
– for any situation he can devise a drill to teach the appropriate skill
and advance our students. His lighthearted yet focused approach to teaching
is the perfect combination for our program.
