Melissa started working at Gold Star during the summer of 2002, and she immediately showed that she is a natural gymnastics teacher. She spent five years from junior high through high school, in competitive gymnastics. Melissa received her U.S.A.G. Safety Certification, and is C.P.R. and First Aid certified. She started as a Business major at Bethany College in Scotts Valley, and is now completing her degree at San Jose State University. As with every good liberal art education, she has taken Child Development courses in which she taught preschoolers. Her caring way with the children has been nurtured through years of teaching Sunday School and babysitting her nieces. Her attention to the children, compassionate demeanor, and unwavering smile have made her an irreplaceable part of our Gold Star family and a favorite of our JO students.
