Phil has been working at Gold Star since 1997. In this time
he has taught all levels from preschool through competitive boys and girls teams.
Currently he is one of our Adult Gymnastics coaches and we are thrilled to have
him back. Phil was a gymnast himself and originally came to Gold Star through
our adult classes. He is not only U.S.A. Gymnastics Safety Certified, C.P.R.
and First Aid Certified, but is an active E.M.T. and is training to become a
paramedic. Phil is a perfect fit for Gold Star and has been one of our most
popular coaches over the many years. His jovial nature and attention to detail
keep these adult students motivated and having a good time while staying safe.
He continues to return to the gym when we need his help, and his pure enjoyment
of the sport is infectious. Those lucky enough to have him as their coach find
they now have a greater appreciation for just how wonderful gymnastics can be—whether
they are eight or eighteen or fifty-eight—flipping is fun, and no one
understands that better than Phil.
