Carolyn is assistant head coach of our All-Star Cheer Squads. Carolyn has been coaching cheerleading since 1992, and is First Aid and C.P.R. certified, and has a U.S. All-Star Federation Level 3 Certification for Cheer and Dance Teams. In the summer of 2003 she also became U.S.A. Gymnastics Safety Certified and completed the U.S.A. Gymnastics Kinder Accreditation Training for teaching preschool gymnastics. Although she was always involved in sports, she came to cheerleading through her two children, one who is on three of GSG’s All-Star squads and one who is a football player and dances with our Hip Hop teams. By nature Carolyn is an organizer, and this trait has helped immeasurably with the squad's fundraisers. Carolyn has extended her talents by teaching summer camps and stepped in as Floor Manager several weekends throughout the year. She has been instrumental in the rapid growth of our Cheer program, training these squads to qualify for Nationals again and again. She possesses that rare ability to help the students see what is special about each of them. Her rapport motivates the squad through positive and supportive coaching, exactly what these young cheerleaders need.
