Katy has been coaching since 1999, and came to Gold Star in 2004. She started gymnastics classes at the age of 2, finishing her career as a Rhythmic Gymnast training to compete Level 8. Katy began coaching as soon as she stopped competing, teaching parent/tot and preschool classes. She then moved to a local gym where she not only taught preschool through team level gymnasts but assisted in the management of the program – all the while choreographing beam and floor routines for the local high school. Her dance training has continued through her higher education. Katy has her U.S.A. Gymnastics Safety Certification and is C.P.R. and First Aid certified. After teaching in all aspects of our program including directing our Rhythmic team for 2 years, she left to begin her family and has returned as a member of our front desk staff. We are very excited about the breadth of talents that Katy brings to Gold Star, and are confident that she will be able to answer each question, solve any problem, and ease every situation.
