Laura started at Gold Star in the winter of 2006 with five years of experience coaching toddlers through PreTeam gymnasts both at our gym (for a short while a number of years ago) and at one of those other local clubs. Laura began gymnastics at the age of seven and since then has not strayed to far from a gym. As a gymnast she trained through optional levels, competing Levels 5 & 6, qualifying to Zones and States. In high school Laura started coaching gymnastics, joined her school drill team and focused her training on dance. In June 2006, she will finish her associates in General Science, and after trying several of those real jobs she has returned to gymnastics – her first love. She has her U.S.A. Gymnastics Safety Certification and is C.P.R. and First Aid certified, also has received Hands-On Teaching Training for preschool gymnastics. Laura is outstanding with the children, so goofy and filled with fun. She knows the sport inside and out, and is comfortable working with students of all ages and levels. Her unyielding excitement makes us extremely pleased to call her one of our own.
