Michelle

Michelle began coaching at Gold Star in the winter of 2011, having been a student in our adult gymnastics class.  Michelle has been teaching since 2009 in competitive Jump Roping and is an Athletic Trainer.  Her infectious smile and constant vigor has made her a favorite of our Saturday morning students.  Currently she is working in our Rhythmic program, and showing off her hand-eye coordination, honed from years of jumping rope, now expanded to throwing balls, hoops, and ribbons.  She is First Aid and CPR certified, and graduated from San Diego State University in Kinesiology and Athletic Training.  She is currently studying Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.  Although Gold Star is her first foray into coaching gymnastics, it is obvious from the moment she steps on the floor that she is extremely adept at teaching children movement, keeping them focused, training new skills and making sure that everyone is having fun.  We are very excited that Michelle has found time in her busy schedule to coach with us.
