Owen is our Head Coach. He comes to us with over 20 years of experience including 10 years as a high level competitive coach. He was born in Ireland, and grew up training with his brothers. His brothers retired as internationally ranked gymnasts, while Owen found his talent for coaching quite young. Owen came to Gold Star in 2002 with his Safety Certification, C.P.R. and First Aid Certifications. His expertise is apparent in the intense work-outs of our Girls Artistic team, in the focused manner he has with his J.O. classes, and the upbeat approach to all of our students. Under his direction our competitive team has more than tripled in size. His calm, level-headed nature and demand for high standards are the perfect combination to assist in the ongoing training of our coaches, to manage the instruction in our classes, and to oversee the continuity, integrity, and safety of our program. His dedication to Gold Star is unwavering and unquestioned, and plays a major part in all that is good in our program.
