Sophie has been an athlete at Gold Star since 2000, working her way through our entire program and finally retiring as a Level 7 gymnast.  In 2011, Sophie began coaching and has proven herself to be a natural teacher through her commitment, passion, and pure enjoyment of the kids.  Sophie has been C.P.R. and First Aid certified, and has her USA Gymnastics Safety Certification.  Her love of children has been fostered through her years of babysitting, and her knowledge of gymnastics is practically innate.  Although Sophie has participated in a multitude of sports, her first love is cartwheels and she shares this enthusiasm freely with our young gymnasts.  We are thrilled that Sophie has chosen to transition from athlete to coach, giving us a chance to keep her bright smile here at Gold Star.
